You can now watch Drake and Zane Lowe's hour-long Beats 1 interview

While many of his fans were listening to his new album Views for the first time, Drake was conducting an extensive interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe live on Beats 1. If you were too busy digesting the 6 God's new music to pay attention to the interview, you're in luck: Beats 1 has uploaded the entire thing to its YouTube channel. (It's also available in audio-only form through Apple Music.) It's worth watching if only because Drake rarely conducts interviews, especially ones you can watch: other than a cover story published by The Fader last September, the Toronto star hasn't given an interview since sitting for Rolling Stone in February 2014.

Drake and Lowe's conversation isn't hard-hitting or revelatory, but it's interesting to hear him hold court on some of music's other major figures. He tells Lowe that Taylor Swift is "such a sweetheart," explains the truncated nature of Jay Z's appearance on the original version of "Pop Style," attests to his chemistry with Rihanna, and sheds light on his fractured relationships with The Weeknd and Nicki Minaj. The most exciting piece of information revolves around a potential Kanye West collaboration: "We were supposed to do a mixtape together, an album together," says Drake. Even if that never comes to pass, the interview is a rare look at a star who's become somewhat reclusive in terms of media availability in recent years.
